What are the check-in and check-out times?
Your experience begins with check-in from 3:00 p.m. and ends with check-out until 11:00 a.m.


Where is Viñak located?
We are located in the district of Santiago de Viñac, 3689+VFH, Viñac 15073, Yauyos Province, Lima, Peru.

Located atop an Andean mountain, approximately 5 hours by road from Lima, our retreat offers a remote setting surrounded by nature and spectacular views. We are situated near the Lunahuaná Valley, but at a higher altitude, allowing guests to enjoy unparalleled natural scenery and tranquility.

If you are traveling with your own vehicle, we recommend using a 4x4 or 4x2 pickup truck, as the final section of the route is an unpaved road (approximately 2.5 hours).


What transportation options are available to reach the hotel?
You can reach Refugio Viñak by private transportation, shared transportation, or your own vehicle.

Private transportation
For your convenience, we can arrange a private transportation service in 4x4 vehicles or vans from Lima or other locations, at an additional cost. This service is managed directly through our reservations team.

The round-trip private transportation rates are:
● USD 300 for up to 4 guests.
● USD 350 for groups of 5 to 8 guests.

Pick-up can be arranged from your home or any location you specify within Santiago de Surco or nearby districts, starting from 7:00 a.m.

Shared transportation
The shared service costs USD 75 per person, round trip. The meeting point is located in the Surco district and departure is at 7:00 a.m.

A minimum of 2 passengers is required for this service to operate. Pets are not permitted on shared transportation.

Both private and shared services are subject to availability. We have a single van with a maximum capacity of 11 passengers.

Own vehicle
If you prefer to travel independently, we recommend using a 4x4 or 4x2 vehicle, as the final section of the journey is an unpaved road and there is no public transportation that reaches the hotel directly.

Currently, the road leading to the hotel is affected by construction works carried out by the District Municipality of Huangáscar in the San Jerónimo sector, on the Qhapaq Ñan road.

Work is carried out from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Vehicle access is permitted from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The works are expected to be completed in December.

Departing Lima at 7:00 a.m., you will reach the road closure point at approximately 1:00 p.m., considering 3 hours to Lunahuaná, 2 hours to the closure point, and 1 additional hour to Viñak.


What payment methods does the hotel accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods for your convenience, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club credit cards, as well as bank transfers.

Payments can be made in Peruvian Soles (PEN) or U.S. Dollars (USD).

You may also use our online booking system at www.refugiovinak.com, which is securely integrated to process these payment methods.

To confirm your reservation, full payment is required at least 24 hours before check-in, either by bank transfer, credit card, or through our online booking system.

We do not accept payments directly at the hotel.


Is advance payment required?
Payment conditions and deadlines may vary depending on the rate and booking conditions. Our team will provide you with the relevant details when your reservation is made.


Can I modify my reservation?
Yes. Modifications are subject to availability and the conditions of the reserved rate. We recommend contacting us in advance so that we can assist you.


How can I contact the hotel if I have a special request?
You can contact our team prior to your arrival to arrange special requests, dietary requirements, or any additional details related to your stay.

Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
We do not offer early check-in. If you would like to extend your stay, we offer a late check-out option, subject to availability and an additional charge.

For example, late check-out until 5:00 p.m. carries a surcharge equivalent to 50% of the daily rate. We recommend arranging this in advance with our reservations team to guarantee availability.


Is the hotel pet-friendly?
Yes! We are a pet-friendly hotel, and your pet is welcome.

We accept a maximum of one small-breed dog per reservation. A fee of USD 40 per night applies.

In addition, we require a refundable security deposit of USD 100 to cover any potential damages during the stay. If no damages are found upon check-out, the full amount will be refunded.

Please inform us when making your reservation and keep your pet supervised and on a leash at all times in common areas.
